Made from vegetable ivory every heart is lovingly hand carved and coloured with vegetal dye making each piece unique. Vegetable ivory is the result of a long and attentive process. It is derived from a palm nut that when dried for up to 8 weeks resembles the finest elephant ivory. The dawn of synthetics saw a decline in this once valuable and desirable material so a resurgence is long overdue.
